Not too long ago I was listening to an interview series that someone had done with a bunch of Hollywood actors and actresses. Aside from the awe and the glamor factor involved with intently listening to these famous people talk about their lives, the one thing that really etched itself into my mind was they all said that if they could do it all over again, they would have been braver and bolder sooner.
I really liked hearing this common thread among all these successful people because I now felt like I knew the secret passageway to success spoken right from the horses’ mouths, or should I say the Hollywood Hills. In addition, I was happy because I thought this secret was something that was doable. We could all act a little braver and bolder. Even I could do this, right?
Or could I? Where do we begin? What sort of things are bold and acceptable?
Well, those brave enough and bold enough can strike up acceptable conversations with their bosses, instead of hiding and trying to stay off of the radar. Consequently, we can learn more about our jobs. Those braver and bolder individuals who know more about their jobs and are bold enough to ask for promotions tend to be promoted more. And those bold enough and brave enough to ask for a date tend to get more dates. Hmm… this is all starting to add up, isn’t it? I think we can all see the math here, right?
So, are you ready to push aside the past and to start acting more brave and bold right now? Hey, fake it until you make it if you have to. If you act brave and bold long enough, then eventually you will become braver and bolder. Pretty cool, huh? Great! Let’s do this bold thing together!
Now teens, go learn, lead, and lay the way to a better world for all of us. Remember that the world favors those who act boldly. And once again, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do…
