Distress, eustress, we stress. Hey, what can I state we all feel stress? And often that is great, and in some cases not so great. Well, excellent or not, I want to stress with you that the word stress has gotten a bad rap. Wouldn’t you concur that most of us hesitate of that little six-letter word? I think being afraid of stress is an error due to the fact that a little worried energy can actually be a good thing.
A little stress, or a little worried energy can do simply that … give us some energy or an included boost to do what is needed to be effective. I know all of us want to avoid the bad type of stress, or distress. However, a little worried energy in the form of eustress, the good type of tension, assists all of us be more mindful and succeed. For example, suppose we wanted to cross the roadway. The first thing our mind would do is to send signals of eustress. Once our bodies get these signals of eustress from our minds, then our bodies tend to liven up with some extra energy and enter into a heightened mode which causes us to look both methods prior to we cross the street.
Moreover, eustress assists us in school and work. If we understand we have an approaching project eustress will trigger a little additional nervous energy to run through our bodies to assist us get these things done. Our eustress is going to make sure that we are prepared so we don’t feel embarrassed. As soon as once again, a little anxious energy here is an advantage, right? So what are we worrying over again? Does stress, pressure, and a little nervous energy still feel like a bad thing that should be totally avoided at all costs?
